ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Natalia Vela. I’m a writer from Houston, TX. 

I began nurturing my craft at an early age, but I’ve been oversharing through articles online for the last seven years. Many of my pieces have gone viral. I write about…all of it. Fields I cover include mental health, relationships/dating, astrology, interior design, lifestyle, pop culture, beauty, and more.

My writing has been published in places like Apartment Therapy, Thought Catalog, Collective World, Creepy Catalog, NR Magazine, and Epic Reads.

I’m currently completing my debut collection of poetry and drafting my first novel. In my spare time, I enjoy expressing myself through analog collage. Lately I’ve been focusing on a collage series inspired by one of my short horror stories. I try to squeeze in as much reading in between creating. My taste in books is eclectic, but I’m a definite sucker for a good mystery novel.

Presently, I’m a Content Brief Writer and Editor for Dotdash Meredith. I’m available for freelance writing and editorial work, and would love to chat about working together.
